Thomas Müller has earned the Player of the Week award in the Bundesliga after his brace in Bayern Munich's 3-1 win over Hannover 96 this past weekend. While Müller's first goal came from a well taken penalty, it was his second goal that was the kicker as he headed home a spectacular cross from Franck Ribery to put the game to bed.
Apart from the goals tally though, it's a dubious honor as Bayern Munich struggled for long stretches of the match to generate some attacking impetus against Hannover and Thomas Müller dropped in and out of the match in his effectiveness at leading the line. Despite that it was certainly not have been one of the most dynamic performances we've seen from Thomas Müller in his already long Bayern Munich career, it was certainly one good enough to see the Rekordmeister extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
