Bayern Munich took part in their final training session in Munich on Monday morning before heading to the Ukraine for their UEFA Champions League match in Lviv with Shakhtar Donetsk. The club was going through their standard final match preparations, while another player began his "on the pitch" rehabilitation program.

Philipp Lahm returned to the field for a half hour running program before returning indoors to continue his individual training. All in all, it's fantastic news that the captain is continuing on his rehab trail.
There can be no denying that Bayern have felt his absence in the middle of the park. The Xabi Alonso and Bastian Schweinsteiger midfield tandem hasn't really worked out as well as everyone hoped that it would. Lahm's return will give Pep Guardiola more options in structuring his midfield. Plus, Bayern were put into a bind at the start of the Rückrunde with Rafinha being out through injury and only Mitchell Weiser available to play the position.
Bayern Munich need Philipp Lahm back.
