Pep Guardiola is set to become the richest head coach in the history of world football. The Spaniard is destined for the English Premier League and Manchester City, according to multiple reports. The reported contract will be for three years and €25 million a season.
It was announced at the beginning of the week that Guardiola would not be returning to Bayern Munich next season, and Carlo Ancelotti would be taking the reigns at the Allianz Arena this summer. Guardiola's departure was long rumored, and Manchester City has almost always been his destination.
Guardiola will be joining his former Barcelona cohorts Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain in Manchester, where the two have been trying to turn Man City from a "nothing" into a "something" for a number of years now.
I'll never begrudge someone (legally) getting all of the money that they can. Good luck, Pep. Hopefully, we'll run into you again with Carlo pacing on our sideline.
Now, let's go win the triple this season, Pep!
