Bayern Munich beat Turbine Potsdam 2-0 to finish the first half of the Frauen Bundesliga season unbeaten with only one draw to their name. Bayern's lead at the top of the Bundesliga is now an astonishing twelve points above Wolfsburg and Frankfurt. This is the largest lead any club has head at the winter break, beating Wolfsburg's 1999-00 record of ten. They now head into the winter break before returning on February 14 against FC Köln.

Gina Lewandowski and Vivianne Miedema scored on either side of the halftime whistle to lead FC Bayern to take all three points. Tinja-Riikka Korpela was forced to come up with several big saves to keep the Bavarians level early and not fall behind against a determined Potsdam.

This was the final match in a Bayern shirt for Americans Katie Stengel and Kristie Mewis. Both players will permanently head back to the United States this winter.

Dating back to the start of the 2014-15 season, FC Bayern have yet to lose a match in league play with 28 wins and 6 draws. This team is impressive.
