Bayern Munich will be promoting a charity on the front of their jersey against Ingolstadt, rather than club sponsor Deutsche Telekom. The charity that will grace the Bavarians jersey this weekend is Sternstunden.
Sternstunden is a charity that "supports children who are sick, disabled or in need" since 1993. Every donation to Sternstunden goes toward their work without any deductions. Bayern regularly work with charitable organizations throughout the season, and this is another step in that process.
A big thank you goes out to Deutsche Telekom who are forgoing their sponsorship rights to the front of Bayern's jersey for this match. "It is important that we fulfill our social responsibilities and make a statement,"Michael Hagspihl of Deutsche Telekom said. "We interpret our commitment at Bayern to go far beyond sponsorship."
