Before Pep Guardiola started his press conference on Friday ahead of Bayern Munich's home match against Ingolstadt, the club made an announcement that disappointed supporters across the world. Both Franck Ribery and Medhi Benatia would be out until the new year thanks to injuries.

They were substituted out of Bayern's Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb due to muscle injuries. Both were diagnosed with muscle strains and the club are taking no chances and sitting both players out until the new year.

"We have lost two important players until the winter break," Guardiola said. "This is obviously not good. We now have 13 players. We need the every player."

Pep even questioned his own training methods but brought up how you don't see Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller, Robert Lewandowski, and Rafinha suffering these injuries when they're all going through the same training.

Bayern already sidelined David Alaba due to an ankle injury and Douglas Costa due to a thigh injury until January.

There are three matches remaining until the winter break.
