Douglas Costa to miss Bayern Munich match against Hertha Berlin

Unfortunately, Bayern Munich will be without the services of Douglas Costa against Hertha Berlin. The Brazilian has had to withdraw from the match due to muscular problems in his right thigh.

Costa picked up the injury against Olympiacos. He was subbed out in the 72nd minute in favor of Javi Martinez. The club offers no details on the severity of the injury or if Costa will miss any additional time.

With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery sidelined for the majority of the first half of the season, Costa has emerged as a key player in Pep Guardiola's side. His ability to take defenders on and beat them with speed is reminiscent of the good old days of a healthy Robbery.

With Costa out, it looks like Bayern will have to rely on their other attackers against Hertha. I hope that Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Kingsley Coman, and Robben are ready to carry the burden.
