Hard to believe, but qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia is already underway. Now it will spread to South America as CONMEBOL recommences their qualifying process, and boy did they give us a tasty fixture right off the bat.
Chile and Brazil, two of the best footballing countries in South America at the moment, will square off in Santiago de Chile. Those two countries represent the Copa America winner and the most successful World Cup country in history. Chile will try to get revenge for a 0-1 loss in March against a Neymar-less Brazil.
For the first time ever, this fixture will have two big Bayern Munich players prominently involved. Arturo Vidal returns after leaving on mysterious circumstances during the last international break, and Douglas Costa may have to step up to fill Neymar's shoes. Douglas is coming off a great run at the club level, while Vidal will hope his knee will hold up to the point he can remain effective for his country.
Once official lineups are released, this thread will be updated
