Late runs into the box have been something Bayern Munich have struggled with the last couple years. Sure Schweinsteiger and Alonso would occassionally make them, but for the most part Bayern's only real attacking thrusts came from up top.
Arturo Vidal has changed that as he unleashed another thunderous blast against FC Köln to double Bayern's lead at the Allianz Arena.
Fast forward to the 30-second mark

While Vidal's shot was impressive, threading the narrow space between Dominik Maroh's foot and back, it was the instinctiveness and skill of young Kingsley Coman that made this play so special for Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old is proving that perhaps he should be starting day-in and day-out for Bayern Munich squad as he's had a major hand in both of their goals today.
Only time will tell, but with Douglas Costa having a quiet match and the return of Arjen Robben, there is no better or more important time for Coman to make his statement for a starting spot on this team. And he might just earn it if these performances become the norm.
