FIFA has announced the candidates for Coach of the Year for Women's Football in 2015, and Bayern Munich's Thomas Wörle was named to the list! This is the first time that Wörle has been nominated for the award.
Bayern Munich won the Frauen Bundesliga for the first time in the spring of 2015. It was the club's first German championship since the 1976 season. The championship came with a berth in the UEFA Champions League, but FCB was unfortunately knocked out in the Round of 32 by FC Twente.
Wörle isn't likely winning the award with the World Cup winner Jill Ellis and Champions League winner Colin Bell among the list of candidates. However, this is hopefully the first of many nominates for the 33 year old.
