Germany continue their qualifying campaign for the 2017 UEFA Women's European Championship in the Netherlands with two upcoming matches against Russia and Turkey. Due to the strange qualification schedule, both of the matches will take place in Germany.

Silvia Neid has called up Bayern Munich's Leonie Maier, Melanie Leupolz, Melanie Behringer, and Sara Däbritz. The four players will be gone from FC Bayern for the two matches that take place on October 22 and 25.

FFC Frankfurt's Mandy Islacker and SC Freiburg's Lina Magull are receiving their first call-ups for the German national team, while VfL Wolfsburg's Alexandra Popp was ruled out due to a groin injury.

"We see Russia as the toughest opponents in our group, especially in terms of goalscorers; they've got Elvira Todua who is an outstanding player," Neid said. "I always expect my team to give 100 percent, and that's what I expect against Turkey.""

Germany will play Russia on October 22 in Wiesbaden and Turkey on October 25 in Sandhausen.
