L'Equipe: Initial Tests on Kingsley Coman's Injury "Rather Reassuring"

His injury absence with Bayern may not be as bad as initially thought.

As rumors continue to speculate over the length of Kingsley Coman's absence, L'Equipe reported on Sunday initial tests on Coman's hamstring are "rather reassuring."

Coman injured his hamstring in France U21's 2-0 victory against Scotland. The coach of the Espoirs Pierre Mankowski pulled Coman after 23 minutes, one of two substitutions he had to make in the first half.

The 19-year-old has taken a full handle on the handful of starts he has received at Bayern Munich, scoring twice and providing sharp service from the flank. His presence has a bigger magnitude after Mario Götze suffered a groin injury in Germany's qualifier against the Republic of Ireland.

L'Equipe is reporting Coman needs a week of rest for his hamstring, and Bayern doctors will examine him when he returns to Munich over the next few days. The France Espoirs play one more qualifier this week, hosting Ukraine's U21 team in Strasbourg on Tuesday.
