Bayern Munich received some more good news this week as Tom Starke returned to training on Tuesday. The goalkeeper had been out since October with an ankle injury. The 33 year old returns just in time to accompany the club on the trip to Qatar later this week.

Starke spent the day with goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic in a personal training session.
While nobody ever wants to see Manuel Neuer go down with an injury of any sort, having Starke back to challenge Pepe Reina for the backup goalkeeper position can only be good news. If one of the players has to step in for Neuer, the hope is they have pushed each other enough in training to provide a viable option off of the bench.
Remember, Starke recently signed a contract extension through the summer of 2016, so he's going to be around for at least another year.
Welcome back, Tom.
