Bayern Munich, Liverpool after English starlet dubbed "next Steven Gerrard"

It's September, and we're still looking at transfer rumors!

Part of Michael Reschke's job description has been the recruitment of new players to FC Bayern. Some reports from everyone's favorite island (Psst, here's a hint: England.) say that Reschke has found himself scouting a few games involving the "next Steven Gerrard".

Dele Alli is an 18 year old that plays for England's U-19 team and MK Dons in England's third division. He apparently has been rather good this season and was a standout player for MK Dons in the Capital One Cup when they hammered Manchester United. The reports say that Liverpool had a £3.5 million transfer offer for him turned down this summer when they pursued him. One can assume that if he was German, his actual value would fall somewhere around the level of Sinan Kurt instead of double that amount.

How good is he actually? Well, until he starts playing consistently at a higher level, it's going to be tough to say, just like it is for all of these talented kids.
