Another transfer rumor that doesn't quite make sense.

Gareth Copley

report out of England's The Telegraph says that Bayern Munich are interested in bringing Artur Boruc to the Allianz Arena. They have reportedly made "discreet inquiries" as to whether Boruc would be interested in coming to Munich to compete with Tom Starke for the backup goalkeeper position, because everyone knows and agrees that Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world and isn't being replaced.

The article mentions how Bayern have been "linked" (And, by "linked" they mean completely fabricated rumors.) to Victor Valdes and Pepe Reina. We know that neither of those players are joining Bayern. Pep has said the club is looking for a third goalkeeper and that person will be AT BEST the backup.

Boruc is an ... interesting choice. It's mostly likely not going to happen. However, he certainly made a name for himself last season in the English Premier League with Southampton.
