Franck Ribery, Rafinha likely out of DFL Supercup against Borussia Dortmund

A couple of injuries will likely keep the two out of the final "friendly" match.

With the DFL Supercup against Borussia Dortmund less than a week away, Bayern Munich look like they will be without a couple of players due to injuries. These injuries, however, do not seem to be that severe.

Franck Ribery is still struggling with a knee injury that he suffered while Bayern was on tour of the United States. While Pep Guardiola held Ribery out of the MLS All Star Game due to precautionary reasons, he was also held out of the public training session on Saturday during the Allianz team unveiling. Ribery hopes to return to training this week. His return for the DFB Pokal first round match this in a week against Preußen Münster is doubtful at this point. All of this is being considered precautionary.

Rafinha picked up an ankle injury during Saturday's training session at the Allianz Arena. The Brazilian right back left the field with his left ankle wrapped. The extent of the injury isn't known at this time. It could be serious. It could be nothing.

The two join Thiago Alcantara and Mitchell Weiser as players that are likely to miss the Supercup due to injury.
