Rekord Pod Ep. 50: The Fans

Important members of Bayern's fan scene talk with me about their continuing role at FC Bayern matches, and I talk to maybe Bayern's most famous fan, DJ and actor Paul Kalkbrenner.

Adam Pretty

For our 50th show, I sit down with a few key people from Bayern's fan scene as well as one of Bayern's most famous fans, Paul Kalkbrenner.

In the first segment, I am joined by Simon Müller, founder of Schickeria München, Bayern's primary ultra group at the 2014 Kurt Landauer Tournament that they annually put on. Everything from Schickeria's beginnings, to President Landauer, to the recent troubles between the club and Bayern's fan scene and how they were resolved is covered.

In the second segment, a few members from FC Bayern Worldwide join the podcast and talk about their role as the international fanclub in the Südkurve for Bayern fans from outside of Germany. They also help elaborate on Munich's fan culture.

In the final segment, Paul Kalkbrenner, DJ and actor, and most importantly Bayern fan, sits down with me to talk about everything from football in East Germany, to Berlin's music scene, to Bayern's season and new trikots.
