MLS All Star roster announced for match against Bayern Munich

We're basically getting a USA vs Germany rematch.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

During the halftime show on ESPN2 of the match between Sporting Kansas City and the Los Angeles Galaxy, Major League Soccer announced the full roster of players that will take the field in the MLS All Star Game against Bayern Munich

Goalkeepers
  • Bill Hamid (DC United)
  • Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake
Defenders
  • Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City)
  • Aurelien Collin (Sporting Kansas City)
  • Omar Gonzalez (Los Angeles Galaxy)
  • Chad Marshall (Seattle Sounders)
  • Michael Parkhurst (Columbus Crew)
  • DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle Sounders)
Midfielders
  • Osvaldo Alonso (Seattle Sounders)
  • Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake)

  • Robbie Keane (Los Angeles Galaxy)
  • Obafemi Martins (Seattle Sounders)
  • Erick Torres (Chivas USA)
  • Bradley Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls)

When you look over that roster, it's very evident that this year's MLS All Star game is pretty much a replay of the USA vs Germany match that was saw this summer at the FIFA World Cup. However, both sides get to sprinkle in a few other talented players. The match will take place on August 6 at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. The All Star Game will be the second match on Bayern Munich's "US Tour". The first will be on July 31 against Chivas de Guadalajara at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
