Injury questions surrounding Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer are starting to subside as the 28-year-old participated in team training on Monday.

A shoulder injury has hindered Neuer's participation with his compatriots, coach Joachim Löw holding him out of Germany's two friendlies against Cameroon and Armenia. Borussia Dortmund's Roman Weidenfeller has taken the minutes between the pipes in his stead.

With Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm back in the fold at the weekend, Neuer is the only missing Bayern player in Germany's squad. With Franck Ribéry already ruled out of the World Cup for France, the news of Neuer in training gives hope that the remaining 14 Bayern players will be able to participate.

Germany's opening match against Portugal in a week's time, which gives Neuer plenty of practice before he would be required to take the pitch. His status will be worth monitoring though out the week as he resumes full team activities.
