2014-15 DFB Pokal: Bayern Munich learn opponent for first round match

Pep Guardiola's team has learned who they will play in the first round of next season's DFB Pokal.

The draw for the first round of the 2014-15 DFB Pokal took place today in Germany, and the reigning champions Bayern Munich now know who they will be facing. The Bavarians will be heading up to North Rhine-Westphalia to face 3.Liga side Preußen Münster in the first round.

In recent seasons, Bayern has drawn clubs like SV Wilhelmshaven, SSV Jahn Regensburg, and Eintracht Braunschweig and easily beat them on the way to three finals and two cups. Last season, Münster beat St. Pauli 1-0 in the first round before being thumped 0-3 by Augsburg in the second round.

As always with the Pokal, Bayern will be expected to win the entire thing, so a first round match against a club like Münster should present no challenges to the side. The first round matches will take place between August 15-18 and will be officially announced closer to the date.
