Is this Bayern Munich's new home jersey?

At the end of March, we brought you the alleged mockups of the new Bayern Munich home and third jerseys for the upcoming season. How right those mockups, at least for the home, appear today.

This picture of the new home jersey has been making the rounds on the Internet today.

Yes, this does resemble some of the Barcelona jerseys in recent years even though the colors are a little different. This is also reminiscent of previous jerseys worn by Bayern. As always, it's really tough to tell exactly how this jersey is going to look until it is on players. I do prefer the home kit to be predominately red, so I am a little bummed that this is the direction they're taking.

It does look like we won't have to wait long. The official release is this Friday.
