According to Miguel Delaney, a well-respected journalist with ESPNFC, Manchester United have made huge progress in their pursuit of Toni Kroos and that "the United hierarchy is now confident the principles of an agreement are in place for the 24-year-old".
That sounds an awful lot like Manchester United have a contract offer, or transfer fee, all hashed out and all they are waiting on is final details. Probably like the how big a dumptruck they need to carry all the cash they're about to dump on the Sabener Strasse front lawn. Which, okay, that's cool. It's not like Toni Kroos was super integral or anything. Or just had one of his most stellar games ever in a Bayern Munich uniform.
Delaney specifically notes that Bayern Munich will attempt to resist the transfer (hint: expect lots of stories about this for the next 2+ months) which is a nice way of saying Bayern Munich will extort as much money out of Manchester United as humanly, and as inhumanely, possible. Or just flat our refusing and getting into a rancorous war of words with whatever passes for a front office in Manchester these days. I'd invest in a seat belt for your office chair. This is probably going to be a wild ride.
