Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm left the DFB-Pokal Final against Borussia Dortmund with a shin injury, according to AFP journalist Ryland James. The club has not yet issued a preliminary diagnosis.

Lahm picked up the injury early in the first half, needing to come off for medical attention. Franck Ribery replaced Lahm in the 30th minute, and the Bayern captain went to the locker room three minutes later boots in hand.
In a season rank with squad injuries, Lahm was one of the few players who remained relatively healthy, missing just two weeks with a thigh injury at the end of the Hinrunde. He sat out of just seven of Bayern's 56 matches in all competitions.
Part of the Germany's World Cup preliminarly roster, his ticket to Brazil might now be in doubt. Already losing Bastian Schweinsteiger, Germany manager Joachim Löw's loss of Lahm will be another major blow for the Nationalelf, who are trying to improve from their thrid place finishes in the past two World Cups in Germany and South Africa.
