Bayern to play Chivas de Guadalajara in July Friendly in New York

FOX Sports Latin America reports (in Spanish) that the Mexican co-record-champions will be matching up against the German Rekordmeisters on 31 July, very likely at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, home of the New York Jets and Giants.

The stadium formerly on that site housed Bayern legend Franz Beckenbauer and the rest of the star-studded Cosmos of the late 1970's.

With Bayern opening an office in New York, a match there was a near guarantee and it will couple the MLS All-Star Game in Portland a week later, on 6 August.

This set of friendlies will follow the 2014 Telekom Cup in Hamburg which are in the last week of July.
