Bayern Munich Draw Manchester United in UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals

An all red quarterfinal draw as Bayern hope to advance to the final four for the 16th time.

In a rematch of the 1999 Champions League Final, Bayern Munich will once again do battle with Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal.

Bayern have amassed a 3 W - 4 D - 2 L Record against the Manchester United. The two have played in the quarterfinals twice before, die Roten advancing one of the two times.

Manchester United are currently seventh in the Barclays Premier League after winning its 20th title a year ago, no doubt slipping a bit off its pedestal after the departure of longtime manager Sir Alex Furgeson. The Red Devils have won the Champions League three times.

Bayern has advanced out of the Quarterfinals 15 times out of 29 tries, including three of the last four Champions League Finals. The draw will be a perfect opportunity to avenge the Manchester United comeback from 15 years ago.

The quarterfinal matchdays are Apirl 1/2 and April 8/9, sandwiched around the second Klassiker of the season against Borussia Dortmund. Here is how the rest of the draw played out:

First Leg Host Second Leg Host
FC Barcelona Barcelona Club Atlético de Madrid Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid CF Real Madrid Borussia Dortmund Borussia Dortmund
Paris Saint-Germain Paris Saint-Germain Chelsea FC Chelsea
Manchester United FC Manchester United FC FC Bayern München Bayern Munich
