Bayern Munich stretched their unbeaten run to fourteen games to start the Bundesliga season with Saturday's victory over Bayer Leverkusen. It wasn't an easy match for FC Bayern, but they put it together to take all three points at the end of the day.
Here are some nominations for man of the match.
Franck Ribery: Ribery scored the loan goal of the match with a sweet volley. The Frenchman's left footed shot found it's way through traffic before striking the back of the net. It was his fifth goal of the season in all competitions. Go Ribery! Goals will always get you on this list.
Juan Bernat: Bernat's ability to just step right into the Bayern lineup from day one and perform at such a top level. He's yet to get on the score sheet, but with the way he gets into the attack on a regular basis, you know one is coming. Plus, that goal line clearance was pretty awesome.
Sebastian Rode: The introduction of Rode into the match completely changed things for Bayern. With more help harrying Leverkusen in the middle of the park, the front attackers had more space in which to operate. Rode continues to perform under Guardiola, and you have to feel comfortable with him on the field against nearly every opponent.
Jerome Boateng: He's a rock at the back for Bayern Munich and a huge reason why FCB has only conceded 3 goals this season. Under the eye of Jupp Heynckes, Boateng realized that he could play at this level. Under Guardiola, Boateng realized he could do this consistently.
