The long rumored move seems to finally be upon us. Reports  from Sky Sport Germany, and independently confirmed by Goal Italy, say that Xherdan Shaqiri is on the verge of a loan move to Juventus in Serie A.

Most reports state that it will be a six month loan with a €20M purchase option that will take effect next summer. According to the report from Goal Italy, the loan will start with a €4M fee paid up front for the loan in addition to a €15M transfer option that would take in the summer.

It looks like Xherdan Shaqiri may finally be on his way out of the Allianz Arena, only just about a year after he started rattling the sabre for it. While the deal is not yet complete the fact that German sources are characterizing it as "close to finalizing" is very promising for both Bayern Munich and Shaqiri himself.  While there is certainly an interesting conundrum in that Xherdan Shaqiri is cup-tied for the Champions League this season, it's not hard to see Max Allegri easing him into the side with performances limited to Serie A and the Copa Italia - the later of which doesn't start until January.

It may be time to start buying your farewell Xherdan Shaqiri gear. This is a thing that people do, right?
