In a crazy back-and-forth contest, Bayern Munich II beat TSV Buchbach on Friday 3-2 at the Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße. Lukas Götler got the winner thanks to a fantastic run from Ylli Sallahi in squeaky bum time to give the reserves all three points.
"It was a match with two different halves," said manager Erik ten Hag on the club website. "We determined the beginning of the game and turned the deficit. However, we needed to decide the match earlier. At the end we remained calm and we placed the last punch. That is a big quality."
Wegkamp's equalizer in the 24th minute was his 12th on the season, fifth in the Regionalliga Bayern. The reserves have won three in a row going into the final match of the fall season against 1. FC Schweinfurt. With Würzburger Kickers' draw at the weekend, Bayern II have narrowed the deficit at the top of the table to seven points.
