Recap of Google+ Hangout with Arjen Robben and Kevin Strootman

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben and AS Roma's Kevin Strootman participated in a Google+ Hangout. You can watch the entire thing in the video, but we have the important quotes for you here.

Arjen Robben

On his Ballon d'Or nomination

"It's an honor to be on the list with 23 of the best players in the world. It's a big honor, and it's not anymore up to us. We've done our job. Me personally, I had a great season a great year, so it's just an honor to be there. I'm happy about it."

On how well Bayern is playing

"I think we are, at the moment, moving in the right direction. We've improved compared to the beginning of the season. I think we're really getting into the rhythm. I think especially in these games like yesterday against Dortmund but also these games in the Champions League against Roma, these are the type of games that make you stronger as a team, and you can take that experience and learn from these kinds of games."

Kevin Strootman

On his injury recovery

"I'm feeling better and better. In the beginning, it was really difficult to know that you're going to miss the World Cup, the rest of the season, the beginning of the new season, but now I'm getting better. I started training with the team, so I can put my energy to the field. I'm very happy about it."

On Roma's season so far

"What do I make the season so far? Not so much. (laughs) But, I want to support my team, and I hope to be playing games soon to help the team, and I hope to also play some games in the Champions League."

The Hangout is hosted by Fox Soccer's Jenny Taft, and after the questions, they engage in a mini-quiz about various topics while Robben and Strootman get the assistance of some Bayern and Roma supporters. If you have the time, you should watch the video. It's really cool that Bayern and Roma made the two players available for this.
