Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing themselves for the return of Uli Hoeneß to the club as early as January. Hoeneß is expected to qualify for "day release" beginning in January. This would see him be able to venture outside of the prison walls from 6:00am to 6:00pm on the condition that he has employment.
FC Bayern are very willing to give that employment to Uli. Reports in Germany today say that the club will basically allow Uli to name his position upon returning. Of course, the members will then vote on Uli taking the position, but I think the members will overwhelmingly vote for Uli to take whatever position that he decides.
When he announced his resignation from FC Bayern back in March, Uli promised, "I will continue to be associated with this magnificent club and its people in other ways for as long as I live." It appears as though that day will be here much sooner than we thought.
