Surrendered first goal again. Seriously. Again.
Once again, FC Bayern II haven't quite figured out how to start games on the front foot. Seven minutes into the match, Nürnberg jumped on top with Maximilian Dittgen scoring for the lead. FCBII nearly fell behind 2-0 on the foot of Roman Kerschbaum, but luckily for Erik ten Hag's side, Daniel Müller was able to make the save.
The Empire strikes back.
Bayern seemed to kick into gear finally and found an equalizer in the 17th minute. Ylli Sallahi found Lukas Görtler who finished to make it 1-1. FCBII kept pushing for the extra goal, but Patrick Weihrauch and Sallahi were both denied.
Can't find a winning goal.
The second half was nearly all Bayern, but they were not able to turn any of that play into a goal. Bastian and Görtler were both denied at close range, and then Sallahi missed high over the crossbar. Angelos Oikonomou also was denied with a long range shot, and Sallahi's last minute free kick was stopped to end the match in a 1-1 draw.
Six points back. Up next.
FC Bayern II will visit Würzburger Kickers on Sunday November 2. They currently are at the top of the table, six points ahead of FCBII.
Of note: Daniel Müller found himself into the starting eleven in goal with Leopold Zingerle with the first team due to the injuries to Tom Starke and Pepe Reina.
