Philipp Lahm takes Man of the Match honors against Werder Bremen

HERR KAPITÄN!

Alexander Hassenstein

Bayern Munich's big win over Werder Bremen on Saturday was the 200th Bundesliga win in the career of FCB captain Philipp Lahm. He wasn't satisfied with just picking up that historic win. Lahm decided to go and knock in two goals of his own. Seriously! Lahm scored twice, and we have video evidence.

On the day, with Werder playing a very defensive match, Lahm was able to push forward into the attack very often. in fact, it sure seemed like Lahm was the attacking midfielder for large portions of the match. This allowed him to be far enough up the field to grab this rebound and shoot.

Even Pep Guardiola was confused after the goal.

In an effort to improve on this goal, Lahm decided to get involved in on gorgeous goal late in the second half.

Lahm's backheel to Xherdan Shaqiri and the follow-up goakeeper nutmeg was amazing. Surely, this will be the Bundesliga's goal of the week. Right?

He transitioned throughout the match from holding midfielder to box-to-box midfielder to attacking midfielder. Lahm was something else on the day, and that's why he gets my nod for man of the match.

Who was your man of the match on the day?
