Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen: Player Ratings, Man of the Match

Philipp Lahm: OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN! Philipp Lahm was fun to watch as (mostly) an attacking midfielder on the day. It certain helped that Werder offered absolutely nothing going forward, but Lahm was spectacular! The captain scored a brace on the day, and the second goal will surely be goal of the week. The buildup play was superb!

Xabi Alonso: Oh, you know, another game and another great performance in the midfield from Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard bossed the midfield and let Philipp Lahm play as an attacking midfielder without a leash for nearly all of the match.
