Franck Ribery picks up an injury with France

While on international duty with France, Franck Ribery has picked up an injury. Uh oh.

Scott Heavey

We have some bad news out of France today. It appears that Franck Ribery picked up an injury during Friday's World Cup Qualifier against Georgia.

Franck spoke with French TV channel Telefoot on Sunday.

"I have pain in my left buttock. I underwent tests, and there is something."

The Reuters report states that Ribery didn't follow-up with any explanation of of what "There is something." meant. HOW IS THERE NO FOLLOW-UP HERE!? Come on, Telefoot. You should've asked what that "something" is.

Hopefully, it's nothing serious. This is not the time for any more of Bayern's players to be picking up injuries. Obviously, I don't need to explain to any of you just how valuable Ribery has been to the team in the last couple of seasons, but there is a reason that he won UEFA's Best Player in Europe award and is the favorite for the Ballon d'Or this season.

Hopefully, we'll get a little more clarity on this "something" soon.
