Photo Gallery: Bayern Munich release lederhosen-inspired away trikot

Bayern Munich released their new lederhosen-inspired trikot for away matches this season.

We no longer have to wait. Bayern Munich have released their away trikot, and it was unveiled to the public on Sunday alongside club partner Adidas.

This year's design is a lederhosen-inspired trikot. With the 180th Oktoberfest celebrations beginning in just a few weeks, the trikot is a nice way to celebrate the tradition of the region. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Javi Martinez, and Diego Contento took part in the release.

Schweinsteiger seems really high on the new trikot.

"This is a bit special. We've never had a shirt like this before. It's a very good fit to us. It's a super idea. We come from Bavaria, and the world-famous Oktoberfest belongs to the state, so I think it's very good for us to have this shirt."

Bayern will debut the jersey when the club returns to Bundesliga action from the international break. The first match they will wear the new away trikot will actually be at home against Hannover 96. The new trikot finally hit the road the following weekend when Bayern visit Gelsenkirchen to face Schalke.
