The finalists for the 2012-2013 UEFA Best Player in Europe were announced on Tuesday afternoon. Unless you've been living under a rock, the announced players were the ones that we all expected. Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery is joined by Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi. The winner will be decided in a live vote at the drawing for this season's Champions League group stage.

"I'm proud and so happy, for me, for the whole team and the whole club", said Ribery. "Last season was perfect. We won everything, so why not this award? But I'm already happy in any case."

"The whole club shares Franck Ribéry's delight," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, "he's absolutely deserved this. Now we obviously hope he wins the vote."

After last season's historic treble, Bayern actually had four of the top seven players in the votes. Here is players 4 through 10 in order.

4- Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

5- Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund)

6- Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich)

7- Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich)

8- Gareth Bale (Tottenham Hotspur)

9- Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint-Germain)

10- Robin Van Persie (Manchester United)
