Bayern Munich win 4-0 against Hansa Rostock in charity friendly

Bayern Munich won a friendly 4-0 against Hansa Rostock today in a charity match to raise money for the financially strapped club.

Bayern Munich won another friendly match on Sunday, this time a 4-0 result over Hansa Rostock. The match was being played in order to help Rostock raise funds to keep their license in the 3.Liga for another season. The funds are expected to total around €1 million.

Pep Guardiola rolled out the 4-1-4-1 formation once again as he did yesterday against Sonnenhof Großaspach and has been doing for the entire preseason. With this being the second match in two days, there was some experimenting to the lineup. Toni Kroos played as the holding midfielder like he did yesterday, but he was wearing the armband. Philipp Lahm was out of his regular position in defense and set up shop on the right side of midfield.

Franck Ribery was involved in both first half goals for Bayern with an assist and a goal. The assist came when he crossed the ball into Lahm after 20 minutes. Ribery's goal came on a shot from distance that was set up by Claudio Pizarro.

Thomas Müller and Mario Mandzukic got onto the scoreboard late in the second half to put Rostock away and give Bayern their sixth win of the preseason. They'll take the field again on July 20th against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Telekom Cup.

Lineup: Neuer; Rafinha (Robben 46th), Kirchhoff (Van Buyten 64th), Boateng, Alaba (Can 64th); Kroos (Hojbjerg 81st); Lahm, Müller (Weihrauch 80th), Ribery (Schöpf 79th), Shaqiri (Green 79th); Pizarro (Mandzukic 46th)
