FC Bayern Munich have bought Thiago Alcântara for a grand total of €25 million, with the Spanish international signing a four-year contract with die Roten.
Here are the details of the deal, according to FC Bayern's Official Website:
FC Bayern will directly pay €20 million. The remainder will be financed by the proceeds of a friendly match agreed between the clubs. A further proportion of the remaining sum will be indirectly covered by Thiago Alcantara himself, as the player will forego part of his remuneration.
Thiago shined in the UEFA U-21 Championships, scoring 3 goals and collecting an assist in five caps. He tallied 46 appearances in all competitions last year with FC Barcelona, coming off the bench 16 times.
Karl Heinz-Rummenigge was ecstatic to sign the 22-year-old.
"Thiago Alcantara was the biggest wish of our new coach Pep Guardiola. We’re delighted we’ve successfully negotiated this major transfer. Only recently, Thiago was named best player at the U-21 European championship. He’s a fantastic player with huge potential, and he will make FC Bayern stronger."

Where Thiago will fit in Pep Guardiola's schemes is still a mystery, but in spite of that, the addition will add youth and versatility to Germany's and Europe's reigning champion.
