Pep Guardiola made it five for five as manager of Bayern Munich with a 6-0 victory over Regionalliga Südwest side Sonnenhof Großaspach. The victory on Saturday comtech Arena is the first of two friendlies in two days. A trip to Rostock on Sunday awaits the club where they will play in a charity match to benefit the financially strapped Hansa Rostock.
Xherdan Shaqiri was the star of the first half notching a brace. His first came in the 25th minute on an assist from Franck Ribery, and the Swiss star's second was five minutes later on a cross from Rafinha. Toni Kroos and Arjen Robben both grabbed goals before the end of the half to give Bayern a 4-0 lead.
The second half didn't start as brilliantly for Bayern, as Thomas Müller saw his penalty saved by Großaspach goalkeeper Kevin Kunz. Bayern made it five in the 77th minute thanks to a great free kick from David Alaba. Julian Green rounded out the scoring at 6-0 in the 84th minute.
For the lineups, Guardiola went with a 4-1-4-1 again for both halves. There were at changes made at halftime. Starke, Alaba, and Weihrauch played all 90 minutes.
