The UEFA U-21 Championship kicks off from Israel in a few hours. Jack Sargeant with SB Nation Soccer completed a preview for the tournament that you can find here. There are two groups of four, and they are as follows.
Group A: Israel, England, Norway, Italy
Group B: Spain, Netherlands, Russia, Germany
Now, FC Bayern only has one player that will be on display in the event, and that is Germany's own Emre Can. We would've had a second player to keep an eye on in Israel, but Jan Kirchhoff was unable to get to full fitness in time in order to make the squad.
This will be an open discussion thread for the first day of matches for both groups. So, this post will be pinned at the top for Wednesday/Thursday games, and a new post will go up on Saturday before those matches. The new post will have a very brief recap of the previous four matches. Our very own Ryan Cowper will be doing a more in-depth review of the Germany matches with a specific eye on Can.
