Everyone was well aware that Anatoliy Tymoshchuk would be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and it was expected that he was headed back to Russia to play for his old club, Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Well, Tymo took to Twitter today and confirmed that he would be returning to Zenit. The club also confirmed on their website that it is a two year deal.

This was the end of a four year run for Tymo in Munich, and he capped it with the treble. While this year saw Tymo play in the fewest matches of his Bayern career (24 in all competitions), he was always the consummate professional and was a big part of the depth that allowed Bayern to win all three trophies this season.
Thank you, Tymo, for your service to the club over the last few season. Good luck with Zenit in the future. That is, of course, when you're not playing Bayern.
DANKE TYMO!
