Wayne Rooney to Bayern Munich? The Manchester United forward reportedly wants the move.

Is the Bundesliga ready for Wayne Rooney? A report out of England says that Manchester United striker wants to join Bayern Munich, and that a deal is in the works

Clive Mason

A report in England surfaced on Tuesday stating that Manchester United's Wayne Rooney was "frustrated with his role at Old Trafford" and ready to leave the club. This happens every year, right? Well, here's why it's important to us: John Cross with the Daily Mirror also reports that Rooney has "told teammates he wants to sign for Bayern Munich".

Wait. What?

In fact, Cross goes further in his report and suggests that the two clubs are close to finalizing a deal for £30 million (roughly €35 million). Then, he follows it up by saying Pep Guardiola wants Rooney as one of his new signings to "put his own stamp" on Bayern.

Eesh. I can't be alone here in not wanting this move. Don't get me wrong, Rooney is a really good player. A lot of the time, he's a great player. However, even though we don't really know exactly what type of system/style Guardiola is planning on implementing in Munich, I'm not quite sure how Rooney would fit into the side.

What are your thoughts on the proposed move? Can you see Rooney lining up for Bayern next season?
