In the buildup to Saturday's Champions League Final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the writing staff here at Bavarian Football Works will be producing a number of articles previewing the game. I'd like to keep most of the discussions in the comments about the article on which they're attached moving forward. So, an idea was hatched.
What we will do this week, and in the weeks moving forward, is have an 'Open Thread' for any and all discussion that's not necessarily related to any particular articles. For instance, this week, the "Topic" will be about the Champions League Final. Next week, we'll shift toward the DFB Pokal Final, and so on...
While the hope is that the articles will continue to be read and receive comments like they currently do, I fully understand that a lot of people just enjoy a place to congregate and discuss varying aspects of the club. It could be a little comment by a player here or there that doesn't necessary need a full fledged article. It could be anything. When the next "Open Discussion" thread goes up on Monday, the current one's comments will be closed, so that the discussion moves on to the new one. Nevermind this part.
I also want to continue to encourage some of the great FanPosts that we've been getting like "Bundesliga Celebration Time" from KateL and "Bayern Munich to build mosque in stadium" from Fahad Arman.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this momentous week for the club and fans as we move forward to capturing our fifth European Cup.
