It's been expected for some time that Brazil star Neymar would be transferring to Europe this summer. For months, his expected destinations have been Barcelona or Real Madrid. Reports were coming from all over the globe, but they were focused on Spain and only Spain. Well, someone is throwing a wrench into that speculation tonight.
Former Santos Vice President Vicente Cascione has dropped quite the bombshell on his personal blog.
"I have this information first hand. Neymar has already signed for Bayern. I'm not speculating, the information is undeniable."
As we're all well aware of at this point, with Pep Guardiola joining Bayern this summer, the transfer rumors are and will be flying fast and hard. Neymar has been a target of many rumors over the last few years with him being linked to almost all of Europe's elite clubs.
However, this is the first time that I can remember him being substantially linked with a club other than the two La Liga giants. How much stock should we put into the words of Vicente Cascione? I honestly don't know. We already know that Mario Götze is joining the club in the summer for a substantial fee with many expecting Arjen Robben to be the player leaving. If Neymar were also to arrive in Munich, are we potentially looking at the end of Franck Ribery's time in Germany?
