We may not have managed to win the title on Saturday afternoon, but Bayern put on a performance for the ages in a 9-2 thrashing of Hamburg. While you relax this Easter Sunday (if you celebrate that sort of thing), why not enjoy the absurd number of goals that Pizarro and company put past Rene Adler at the Allianz Arena.
First, the goals in video form courtesy of YouTube user FellowSuceDesBites. In case the video fails to show for any reason, here's the direct link.
The gifs from the match come courtesy of BayernZone.com (Follow them on Twitter @BayernZone.) user Bastian7. I won't include all of them in this post, but I will post a select few. We will link directly to them, though.
Xherdan Shaqiri's opening goal started things brilliantly for the club just five minutes into the match.
Bastian Schweinsteiger followed up just fifteen minutes later with a header that beat Adler to the near post.
Claudio Pizarro score the first of his four goals at the half hour mark to give Bayern the 3-0 lead.
Bayern kept the pressure coming, and Arjen Robben got on the end of the a nifty backheel from Pizarro to make it 4-0 a couple of minutes later.
It was 5-0 just before halftime after Shaqiri struck the post and Pizarro scored the rebound. We got this celebration.
Pizarro got his hat trick in the 53rd minute when he scored a fantastic backheel. Seriously. It's beautiful.
A minute later, Robben chipped Adler on a counter to make it 7-0 after only 54 minutes.
Pizarro's fourth goal make the score a laughable 8-0.
And finally, a minute after Hamburg erased the clean sheet, Franck Ribery scored Bayern's ninth goal.
Oh, and I found this on Tumblr. If you were interested in watching, Thomas Müller crawl on the ground for a good distance.
