Match Day Thread: FC Bayern vs. TSG Hoffenheim

New, comments

It's first vs. second-worst in the Bundesliga's Sunday matinee. Bayern hasn't lost since October, and looked sharp in this week's Pokal win over Borussia Dortmund. It bodes poorly for Hoffenheim, but if they can snag an early goal, you never know ...

For FC Bayern:

Gomez

Ribery - Mueller - Shaqiri

Martinez - Schweinsteiger

Alaba - Dante - Boateng - Lahm

Starke

For Hoffenheim:

de Camargo - Volland

Usami - Weis - Williams - Schroeck

Johnson - Vestergaard - Abraham - Ochs - Gomez

So, a big switch for Bayern between the posts, but otherwise not too much rotation (though good to see Shaqiri get a start). I have Shaq on the right and Mueller in the hole, but they'll probably both be overlapping and floating in and out on that right side. Bayern hasn't been blanked yet, and Hoffenheim's defense has been woeful, so we should expect some fireworks.

As always, check back after the match for a recap and video highlights. Viva viva FC Bayern!
