Bayern Munich U19 coach Marc Kienle takes SV Wehen Wiesbaden job

SV Wehen Wiesbaden introduced their new head coach to the media today, and it is Bayern Munich's U19 manager Marc Kienle.

While Bayern Munich have yet to officially announce his departure, U19 coach Marc Kienle has left the club to take the head coaching job at 3.Liga side SV Wehen Wiesbaden. Wehen have already introduced him as their new head coach. He takes over after Wehen parted ways with Peter Vollmann a week ago.

In the meantime, Bayern have appointed U19 assistant coach Danny Schwarz to take over for the immediate future. We'll see if the board allow Schwarz to keep the position full time or move to find someone else to take over the post.

Bayern  won the U19 Süd/Südwest division last season before being bounced out of the semifinals by Hansa Rostock, but they haven't exactly lit the pitch on fire thus far in 2013-2014. They currently sit in 8th place (out of 14), but our only four points off of the leader after nine matches.

However, we must take into consideration the fact that they're playing in two different competitions for the first time ever. This season, UEFA instituted the UEFA Youth League pitting the U19 teams of the clubs involved in the UEFA Champions League in their groups. Bayern struggled out of the gates with losses to CSKA Moscow (2-0) and Manchester City (6-0) before beating hapless Viktoria Plzen (4-0). Moscow and Man City are on 7 points, Bayern are on 3 points, and Plzen are on 0 points. There's still hope here with three games left.
