Bayern Beats Ismaning in Friendly

In another low-stakes testspiel, FC Bayern travelled up the Münchener Straße to take on Ismaning. FC Bayern won the match 4-0, with the goals all coming in the first half.

This video has clips of the warm-up and the players entering before the match, although no actual game-play:

Those kits look REALLY orange. This is going to be an interesting year.

Anyway, of the senior team, Shaqiri, Alaba, Emre Can (who is going to start the year with the big club, so it seems), Rafinha, van Buyten, and Dante all played. Shaqiri had the most interesting role, as he seemingly lined up in a forward/striker spot. We'd heard before he signed that Shaqiri can play well in a forward role (in addition to his natural wing spot), and it seems like he has a nose for the goal. With Gomez plus the two new strikers signed, though, it's not clear how much room for Shaqiri there would be up there. Whereas, as a back-up to the oft-injured Ribery / Robben combo, he would probably get a bit more burn on the wing.

If I can find game-play video, I'll post it - just wanted to get up a post with the score and basic information. And, most importantly, no serious injuries were sustained, and our back-ups and rotation guys are getting some good work in.
