Today is the kick-off ceremony, followed by 2 matches from Group A: Poland (the tournament's co-hosts) take on Greece (2004 Champions), followed by Russia vs. Czech Republic. Players from all 4 of these squads are surely feeling a touch of the nerves, but the pressure is possibly weighing even more heavily on Poland - playing in front of their home fans in a game they're expected to win.

These matches are being carried on the ESPN family of networks here in North America, and the first match kicks off in less than an hour. As always, please be polite and refrain from personal insults, as well as any bigoted or offensive language.

Come on, Dowski, show 'em how we do it in the Bundesliga.
