In today's draw for the Champions League final qualifying/play-in round, FC Bayern drew Zurich, the perennial Swiss power that just defeated Standard Liege over a two-leg tie. This is certainly a good draw, and Bayern will go into the tie as heavy favorites. That's not to say there were a lot of terrifying possibilities, as we would have been favored against any of the other possible match-ups, but playing Udinese or Rubin Kazan would have presented a tougher match-up.
In addition to having a certain talent advantage, this also gives us a pretty favorable travel schedule - only about 312 km between the two cities. Certainly a better look than having to go to Russia.
